The Savior in Vienna is our take on a classic Vienna Lager. This easy-drinking beer carries a subtle biscuit aroma that is complemented by a noble fragrance imparted by Grungeist hops. Defined by it’s smooth mouthfeel, crisp finish, and low ABV, this is a beer that can be enjoyed by anyone at any time of the year. Savior in Vienna is named for Ho Fengshan, who served as the Chinese Consul-General in Vienna, Austria at the onset of WWII. There, he protected more than 3,000 Austrian Jews from the Holocaust by issuing humanitarian visas for them to live in Shanghai.
