The 7th beer in our Homegrown Series, the Stanford Pines Smoked Stout features Lapsang Souchong – a black tea from Fujian province that is famous for its smoky aroma and flavor. An addition of fresh basil was included that provides the beer with a fresh and herbal quality to complement the tea. Finally, roasted notes from the malts balance out both the basil and smoked tea, resulting in a savory and robust beer.
